Perched — Privacy Policy Effective date: July 5, 2026 Operator: Perched LLC, North Carolina, USA Contact: hello@perched.fm What this covers This policy explains what Perched collects, why, who we share it with, and your choices. Perched is a music-ranking app available at perched.fm. What we collect Account info: your email address, and the identifier from your sign-in provider if you use Apple or Google. Your activity in the app: the songs you Love, Like, or Skip, your rankings and Top 10, and related timestamps. Email preferences: whether you are subscribed and which email types you want. Basic technical data: standard log and device information your browser sends, used to run and secure the service. On-device storage: Perched saves your in-progress ranking in your browser's local storage so a refresh does not lose it. This stays on your device. We do not ask for or store payment card details today. If paid features launch, payments will be handled by a third-party processor with its own privacy terms. Why we use it To create your account and let you sign in. To save your rankings and generate your Top 10 and shareable image. To send you service email about your account and rankings. To send new-release and product email if you are subscribed. To maintain, secure, and improve the service. Who we share it with We do not sell your personal information. We use trusted providers to run Perched, and they process data on our behalf: Supabase (via Lovable Cloud): stores your account, rankings, and related data, and handles authentication. Lovable / Lovable Cloud: hosts and serves the app, and delivers our sign-in (magic link) emails from notify.perched.fm. Loops: sends our email. Apple and Google: if you choose those sign-in options, they handle authentication. Outbound links: play links open third-party sites such as YouTube and Spotify. We do not share your data with them; you simply leave Perched to visit them. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the service and its users. Email and your choices Service email related to your account is part of using Perched. You can unsubscribe from new-release and marketing email at any time using the unsubscribe link in those emails or by contacting us at hello@perched.fm. We honor unsubscribe requests promptly. Data retention We keep your account and ranking data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep limited records to meet legal obligations. Your rights Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain uses. To make a request, contact hello@perched.fm. We will respond as required by applicable law. If you are in the EU/UK, our legal bases for processing are performing our contract with you (running the app), your consent (marketing email), and our legitimate interests (securing and improving the service). Security We use reasonable measures to protect your data, including the security provided by our hosting and database providers. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Children Perched is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it. International users We operate from the United States. If you use Perched from another country, your data may be processed in the United States or wherever our providers operate, which may have different data protection laws. Changes to this policy We may update this policy. We will change the effective date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
